Qu4tre embodies the transformation of RTC Télé Liège, a long-established local broadcaster, into a dynamic digital media brand. In a changing media landscape, it moves beyond the traditional television model to become a multi-channel platform connected to its region and its audiences. More deeply rooted than ever in Liège yet driven by fresh ambitions, Qu4tre is establishing itself as a modern, vibrant brand that remains true to its roots while fully embracing new digital uses.

Challenge

In a context of accelerated digitalisation, RTC Télé Liège had to rethink its role and image. Local television, well established but perceived as traditional, faced a profound change in media consumption patterns. The challenge was to translate this transformation into a brand capable of bringing its audiences together around a more interactive and participatory experience, while reaffirming its proximity to the territory of Liège.

Solution

RTC Télé Liège’s transformation follows a clear brand strategy designed to make Qu4tre a benchmark for local media. The brand platform defined the foundations of a hybrid medium bringing together television and new digital formats. The brand architecture showcases programmes and content, while the visual identity conveys a contemporary, open and dynamic world. Together, they form a living graphic system that creates consistency across media and unites a community around a strong sense of belonging.

Inspired by Liège’s postcodes, which run from 4000 to 4920, the brand uses the number 4 as a symbol of belonging and proximity. Spelling out Qu4tre in full creates a distinctive identity that feels both local and contemporary. The choice expresses an ambition to embody an accessible, committed and deeply rooted local media outlet.

A name anchored in its territory

A vibrating visual universe

The Qu4tre logo plays on the duality between letters and numbers, subtly revealing the 4 at the heart of the word. This typographical relief expresses the transparency of the media. The visual identity is inspired by this transparency, while drawing on the colours of the Province of Liège (red and yellow) to create a vibrant orange, symbol of warmth, energy and conviviality.

The new brand architecture clearly prioritizes programmes and programmes, ensuring readability and consistency in all speeches. Each declination reinforces the unity of the media and its ability to evolve in a constantly changing digital ecosystem.
